Wheels in Motion

This weekend has been a weekend of reconnecting into some of my deepest desires for what I wish to do in my life. Where I want to go, who I want to be.  It is happening at a time when my girlfriend is tapping into hers and our future vision is becoming clearer by the day.

I am always checking in with my original vision.  How does the vision I had feel? Is it still where I feel I am being directed and want to go?  What has been accomplished and manifested to date?

This weekend I shared with my girlfriend my vision board of 5 years ago. For me it was amazing to be able to bring this out and see how much had happened in order to bring it about.  And even more that her vision for the future is in alignment. I wanted to wait until she had her vision for life before bringing out mine so that we both knew that we were true to ourselves before committing to a long future together.

All things are lining up! We are excited and hopeful about what we are co-creating and prepared and excited for the journey that comes with it. It’s looking good folks :-)

Holding your vision in your mind is great for your brain and a vision for our path to fitness can be inspiring. In every moment, the more we listen to our heart and our feelings, the more we will know we are on track.  For a brain that needs to know everything and feel secure, a vision of where we are going provides a sense of peace.

Have fun! If you haven’t already, put together a vision board or mind movie for yourself. A vision for your life that includes fitness, relationships, family, finances, work and recreation. It can be a fun process, to do with a loved one, or by yourself.

Here are my top tips with vision boards.

1)    Focus on the Feeling.

Many people have pictures of tight butts and abs because this is what society informs us we will be accepted for.  This works if that is what your spirit sees as true health and fitness, but for many it sets negative feelings in motion as it sounds so impossible.

Find a quiet space and ask yourself what your vision is.  You will know when it is heart based because you will feel awesome.

What will you be able to do when you have the level of fitness that you are seeking?  What activities? How will you feel? When I let my body figure out what it wants to do, it does way more than I ever expected!

2)    A Vision For All Of Life

We are talking fitness here, but your fitness is affected by all areas of your life.

When I was pursuing a more ego based vision in order to please others, my motivation for fitness began to wane.  I did not listen to myself and it took me a while to pick myself up.  I had not listened to my inner voice.  Now that inner voice is making sure that I am listening and I am listening to it as I watch miracles unfold in my life.

Our fitness and health going south so often is a great indicator that we have allowed our true vision for our life to fall to the wayside. That we are out of balance with our true desires.

When we are clear on all areas of our life and believe they can align, we will know when we are off track, and be able to adjust.

Quite often people can be really clear on their work vision, but then completely forget to factor in family.  This is something that is important to me as I hold the vision for more travelling and speaking while co-creating family. That is why it is prominent on my vision board.

Finding out what your desires in life are is part of your journey.  Asking brings a little more clarity each day. I buried mine for so long and, even still, more of them come to the surface to challenge me to greater heights. Once specific goals and visions are achieved, new desires will birth.

Now that injuries have past, I am holding myself to visions of fitness and performance that are causing me to stretch myself further and further.

3)    Let it Go

Once you have created a vision board you will want to have it somewhere prominent where you can see it every day.  You will not need to focus on it all the time, but having it around the house in moments when you are down can be inspiring.

Letting go of the need to control how and when things will happen is key to manifesting your vision.  Releasing attachment to your current life so that you can allow in the new.

There is no way that when I sat down and created my vision 5 years ago that I knew who would be in my life and how I would get to where I am going. I did not know my girlfriend 5 years ago, and here she is.  There are still missing pieces but as I follow the thrill of this vision people show up!

As you set the thrill of your vision in motion, be aware of who you meet.  There is definitely a need for action on your part. When you observe synchronicities, and action is inspired, take it. It could be meeting a personal trainer at a party, or hearing about a great book on nutrition more than once in a day.

In order to achieve your vision you will have to let go of many of the beliefs that have prevented you from achieving this vision up until this day.  The first ones to address are the ones that say you can’t have the vision you want, come true.

Vision Boards

Take pictures from magazines that confer to you the kind of fitness that you desire. Like the example below ( this person likes cars). When you see the pictures, make sure they are the ones that give you the warm fuzzies.  Many people put those washboard abs up there because their head is telling them that they need it in order to be accepted.  Who do you wish to be? How do you wish to feel?  Use words and pictures that elicit awesome feelings within you.

Mind Movies

You can create your own mind movies through iMovie if you own a mac ( not sure what the equivalent is for PC), or you can check out this company, Mind Movies.  Create video visualizations that you can watch daily, that offer you the feeling of the wish fulfilled. Add affirmations to it, and watch as things begin to happen in your life that align you closer with this vision.
